The team finally know who and where they are going to play on Saturday. We are going to play Trinity Possil at Peterson Park our old home ground. Trinity Possil are on a role at the moment and beat EK Baptist 6 v 0 last night. Another shock result was Erskine Bridge losing to Kilsyth COG 3 v 2. I have enjoyed numerous games against Erskine Bridge and enjoy their style of play and the competetiveness of their team.
So it will be an 8.00am start for breakfast and then onto the ground to actually play on real grass for the first time since November. Hooray!!
Friday night we have another team meeting which will involve food and chat with regards to the team and our approach to saturday's game. Russell is leading this one and with the exception of Frank and Richard everyone else will be there. we have quite a bit to discuss this week as it has been a very hectic one with lots of stuff happening off the park and everyone waiting in anticipation as to who we will play this Saturday. I look forward to it we also have a number of players missing this week but also welcome a couple of new ones and also welcome back after a few weeks lay off an old one in Big Tam who as a team have all missed and welcome him back with open arms.
Derek our goalkeeper has had a rather turbulant week with stuff going on in his life and our prayers are with him especially that he comes through it well. He is a good guy and has a great story which one day I hope he will be able to tell. we are also praying for a miracle for for Alan who has hurt is back and looking as though he won't be fit for Saturday. With God nothing is impossible!
Going to be a tough game that one!
Hopefully we'll do the business.
am on international duty, otherwise I'd be well up for it, as always...
