Over the coming months there will be big changes happening within our family and especially in my work pattern. These changes will not only be challenging but very very exciting. The whole family is looking forward to them. Part of the change may be that I go back and do my Honours degree but at the moment I am waiting for God to confirm that is what I am supposed to do.
Over the past few months I have had to learn patience. This has been very difficult as it is not my natural way. Now I am going to have to be patient and wait upon God to open the door that will benefit the family as well as me.
I have been really excited recently by a conversation I have been having with a work colleague with regards to spirituality and in particular his reading of tarot cards. Last night he was asked to do a reading for one of our other colleagues to which he has agreed not to do. I had to be persuasive in explaining to him that it wouldn't be a good idea to do in the work place and he readily agreed. Tonight we had another conversation with regard to Church and what being a Christian was all about to him and also to me. The opportunity to witness to this person has been absolutely fantastic especially in my own personal spiritual growth. The main point of our talking started with my dismay that he does readings, especially to what could be classed as vulnerable people. What I have seen in this guy is that God really wants to develop him for His purposes. He is a very gifted guy especially when it comes to encouragement and being alongside people when they are in difficult circumstances. If only churches had more people like him the sacrifices that he makes in order to draw alongside people is phenomenal. He has been a real blessings and encouragement to me even though he isn't in a relationship with God - that he knows of anyway.
Football and it is all change as well with Germany losing tonight, Portugal winning last night and now as I watch Austria losing to Poland and the Holy Goaly pulling off some absolutely amazing saves. Not sure who will be the eventual winners though? The tournament overall has been disappointing with the exception of Spain and the Dutch.
I am informed that Eagle's Summit has opened on time and with huge crowds going to it - sounds very exciting although the controversy surrounding Pastor Godwin still continues. From some of the comments that have been left on previous blogs there seems to be a lot of hurt and anger, both from people who have left the church and also people that remain in the church. My prayer would be that there will be reconciliation with members and ex members as well as within the Godwin family. I personally think that disunity grieves Gog and it's not what He intends for us, so hopefully some prayer, healing and reconciliation will take place.
