Fiddler on the Roof was excellent on Thursday night! I thoroughly enjoyed it and the cast were brilliant. I've nothing planned for this weekend other than chilling out for a while. The weather is awful and is a constant reminder that winter is almost upon us. Lots of wet, dull, drab and dreary days and similar dark night. We'll have the usual issues over Halloween in a couple of weeks when our girls will be reminding us that everyone will be dressing up and getting lots of free treats ... we will be reminding them that Halloween is not something to celebrate or take lightly ... they will be reminding us that they are not celebrating but only cashing in on the free stuff! Oh the joys of parenting!!
We try to make a bit of a thing about fireworks night and since the lounge windows are full length it means the kids have a great view from inside and are safely away from the fireworks (and weather) while hubby stands in the wet (from the shelter of the shed!) and lights all the fireworks.
I was thinking that I might get a long lie this morning but the boy has other ideas so it's off to the park. Hubby has no football as the pitch was called off yesterday due to the heavy rain fall so he's keen to see if anyone else is managing to play on our local pitches. Perhaps I'll get breakfast in bed since we don't often have a lazy Saturday morning!?! Toasted bagels and banana and a large decaf ... mmmm! But I'll probably need to make it myself!
